Chinese Bhel is not from China but Chinese bhel is an Indian fast food originated from Northeast India. Basically, as a variation of chop suey, it is widely popular in Mumbai.
Let’s make Jain Chinese Bhel Today!
2 cup Boiled Noodles
1/2 cup Shredded Cabbage
1/2 Thinly Sliced capsicum
1/2 cup Boiled and Sliced French Beans
1/2 cup Boiled Sweet Corn
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 cup Tomato Puree
Salt to Taste
1 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Soya Sauce
1 tbsp Vinegar
1 cup Fried Noodles to garnish
Take 3-4 cups of water in a utensil, add 1 tsp of
salt and bring it to a boil, then add noodles in it and let it cook for about 5-10 mins. Drain out all the water n rinse the noodles with cold running water and keep aside.
Half boiled noodles is drained out of water,rinsed
with cold running water and then dry onto a soft cloth. Heat oil in the pan and deep fry the noodles until crisp.
Boil 3 tomatoes and desk in them. Blend them in a blender and strain it through a strainer to get a smooth puree.
Heat olive oil in a pan and saute cabbage and capsicum on high flame. Add boiled corn and french beans to it. When cabbage and capsicum are salted and crisp, add soya sauce, vinegar, tomato puree. tomato ketchup, salt, red chilli powder and sugar to the mixture. Add some water if needed. Bring this to a boil and then add boiled noodles to it. Mix properly and remove from the flame.
Mix 1/2 cup fried noodles in the bhel and serve immediately. Garnish with remaining fried noodles.
